Chris’s journey in IT started young—at under 10 years old, he was already disassembling and reassembling computers. Since then, he’s amassed over a decade of hands-on experience in IT, beginning in Palmerston North and continuing on in New Plymouth, Tauranga, and beyond. With extensive skills across network infrastructure, printer maintenance, server management, and both Microsoft and Linux environments, Chris is a true tech chameleon.

His knack for finding custom solutions has brought him into everything from digital marketing to advanced server setups, making him a versatile asset to VisionLab. Whether configuring complex networks or simplifying tech for clients, Chris is all about leveraging technology to enhance businesses and lives.

When he’s not optimizing IT systems, you’ll find him surfing, sim-racing, exploring aviation, or teaching others about tech

Luke joins our team with over ten years of experience in onsite and MSP environments. He began his IT career in London, working first for London schools providing IT solutions, followed by working for the large department store, Liberty of London, providing first, second, then third line support. 

After he and his partner started their family, they decided to return to NZ to raise their three children near their families.

Luke began working at Datacom upon returning to NZ, where he worked as a Systems Engineer and a Site Reliability Engineer supporting endpoint management software. 

In his downtime, Luke enjoys working with PC hardware and is the ‘go-to’ custom PC builder amongst his friends. He also loves to spend time doing any kind of woodworking when he has the time.
